Мне 18-20 гр. поддерживать то проблема (зимой) с нашими коммунальными службами... И ничего, не мерзнут (правда кошка с новорожденными всегда у батареи, да и грелка на всякий случай имеется)...

я думаю - что надо написать этой Еве , если такое будет указано в этом сертификате - нам скажут что мы оранжерейные редкие орхидеи выращиваем
а не котят ....

Когда мы ездили на ГА в 2006 в Рим мы там были 4 дня или 5 .
Впрочем не важно .
Главное чтобы признание породы включили в программу.
Программа проведения Ассамблеи ещё не опубликована, она будет выложена
в Апреле месяце. За месяц до проведения.
Времени не так и много, февраль на носу.

unfortunately I do not speak Russian, so I write in English (but, Anja, you can also reply in Spanish, I should be able to understand!)
No, I did not invent the environment temperatures for kittens! )
Those are really the ones recommended by many veterinarians!
But consider that you must also always ensure an appropriate rate of humidity and also the possibility, for kittens, to move from the hottest area of the nursery.
The fact is that the rectal temperature of newborn kittens should be 35 - 37.2 °C in the first week, and 36.1 - 37.7 °C in the second and third week. Young kittens have no temperature control, then it is only the environment temperature that determines their internal temperature, and if their internal temperature drops below 34 °C, the kittens can die…
The maximum temperatures (for example 33 °C in the first week) are those suitable for a kitten who does not stay close to the mother and/or brothers. If the mother is always close to the kittens and the kittens are close to one another, they warm one other, and then the environment temperature can be lowered (for example 30 °C in the first week).
I always keep the temperature at 30 °C in the first week (and I get assured that there is also an appropriate rate of humidity, because a lack of humidity can provoke dehydration, and I have a large nursery where the kittens can move to the colder corners if they feel too hot) and I must say that both the mother and the kittens love that temperature a lot! (And I have never had problems of dehydration!)
Anyway, I deliberately wrote those temperatures, so that the breeders can answer: “I keep the temperature lower than the temperatures that are listed here”, and maybe they could also write what temperatures they use. (Because one of the critics that the veterinarians belonging to the FIFe Health & Welfare Commission have made against the Peterbalds is that “Peterbald kittens seem to need AN ENVIRONMENT TEMPERATURE CONSISTENTLY HIGHER THAN THAT REQUIRED BY THE KITTENS OF OTHER BREEDS”. And this is obviously false!!!)

Peterbald`s health and risks during childbirth and breastfeeding is not more than the Canadian and Don Sphynx.
Hopefully, the commission on health would not require more than the already recognized breed?

Hello Belinda,
the truth is that in FIFe there are many sia/osh breeders that are envious of the Peterbalds + there are some important people that hate the naked cats and above all the Peterbalds.
I think that they really believe that Peterbald kittens are weaker than kittens of other breeds (even if they admit to have spoken only with very few Peterbald breeders..), but, for the rest, they are finding excuses in order to hide the real reasons.
That is why we have to destroy their false theories about the Peterbalds being not a healthy breed! (like the Don Sphynx breeders have done last year: they, too, attached a health documentation to the request).
Fortunately, it is not the Health&Welfare Commission that will vote at the GA: the Commission will simply give its opinion and then the delegates (one for each FIFe Club) will vote.That is why it is also important to contact breeders belonging to FIFe Clubs and ask them to ask their Club to make another official request for Peterbald recognition to FIFe (so that it will not be only the Italian Club to make the request); moreover they could also sensitize their national delegate to vote in favour of the Peterbald at the GA.

Till now, I have received only the e-mail of a Finnish Peterbald breeder that tells me that he will try to ask his FIFe Club to partecipate (but in Finland there is that Mrs Sahlberg that is totally against the Peterbald, so it will be difficult).
Can you contact breeders belonging to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Russia, Ucraina in order to make them ask to their Club to partecipate??We will win with about 20 positive votes, and all those clubs (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Russia, Ucraina) are already 6 votes!!!

I have also received a very good breeder's report from a Slovenian breeder (that has had 15 kittens, all live and healthy), and also a wonderful veterinary report fron the USA (this vet wrote that he has seen more than 40 Peterbalds and he was surprised about how healthy the Peterbalds are!! and he suggests that the Peterbald are a perfect breed for breeding!!!)

I do not think that sending e-mails directly to the FIFe would be useful: the FIFe answers only to the e-mails received from the Presidents/Secretaries of FIFe Club (and ignores all the others e-mails), and if we all start to send e-mails to the FIFe they would simply get more annoyed by the Peterbald and Peterbald breeders!! the right thing to do is making official communications through FIFe Clubs (like I am doing through my Italian FIFe Club that will present the request for the Peterbald recognition to the FIFe and will forward them all the health documentation. In this way, the FIFe will not be able to ignore anything!!)

Now the time is very little: I have to collect all the documentation within the end of february - very first days of march, and send it to the Italia FIFe Club.It is very important!!

So I was wondering how many of you will partecipate....
Are you also sending e-mails to all the Peterbald breeders of whom you have the contacts???Please help!!
